I have been meeting some pretty incredible people here in Eagle Crest, my new home just outside of Redmond, OR.   Case in point:  Kathryn M.   

Kat moved here in November with husband Dennis and two cats, Atticus and Sophia.    Dennis and Kat have warmly welcomed me and my bff (dog) Walter into their home on several occasions over the past few months.  Walt loves to tease Atticus ... Sophie, a bit older and wiser than Atticus, mainly stays out of the way. 

Kat, Dennis and I have established a strong friendship that will probably last our entire lives.  Here is Kat being her cute self modelling for me as I test my new camera and lights.   (that's a good friend!!!)

An author, Kat has four beautiful novels under her belt as well as a book of short stories and one of poetry.  Her laughter is infectious, her warm smile contagious, and I love spending time with her!   

We both enjoy exploring our new surroundings, including fun trips to Bend and Sisters for shopping and eating out :).   This summer we'll be enjoying all that Central Oregon has to offer -- free concerts in the park, art & wine fests, (and of course I'll be looking for great photography opps!), museums and galleries.  Dennis is an avid mountain biker and can't wait for our wet spring weather to settle into the usual dry, sunny summer central Oregon offers.
