Senior Session for Rachel

With graduation just a few months away, we were more than happy to help when Rachel asked us if we’d be willing to do some senior pictures to commemorate this time of change in her life. So, we headed to her home in Alamo, California, for a series of senior shots that really spoke to who Rachel is and who she’s about to become.

Rachel just has a natural beauty that the camera loves. She is charming, fun, and truly a delightful girl. She’s also a bit of a photographer in her own right and used to stage “mini shoots” with her friends just for fun. That experience probably helped her to maintain such an easy grace in front of the camera.

It also probably helped that we shot at her home, in her back yard and front yard and by her car, which she loves. When our subjects are relaxed, we can always get more genuine smiles out of them. We love how natural Rachel looks in all of her images. We had such a wonderful time getting to know her.

We always love being asked to photograph people at exciting times in their lives, and graduation is definitely one of them. You can see the whole world opening up in front of seniors—they have places to be and endless opportunities and hope.  In the California East Bay, most of the high schools have a contract with a photographer for all of the yearbook photos.  If you want to be included in the yearbook, you need to keep that appointment.  But chances are you're not going to be in love with the resulting images -- which is why you don't purchase them (or do the minimum).  Instead, hire Nicole Gee Photography to REALLY capture your grad.  Because senior year only happens once, this time of transition needs to be remembered & celebrated.  We love celebrating our kids!

Rachel, thank you for asking us to do your senior portraits. It was a joy to spend time with you, and we know that you will do amazing things with the future you have ahead of you!
